Hello Spring!! I’m mighty glad the Melbourne weather has been warming up. And my legs definitely agree. I’ve always been a jeans gal, but over the last year or so I have somehow been gathering a larger number of skirts than ever before in my wardrobe, and perhaps with that a growing confidence to show my legs. (I have to say this new found skirt-wearing confidence + collection is gonna be hella useful when I move to Alice Springs in a few weeks because it’s gonna be way too hot there for jeans!)
Anything buttoned, embellished, frilled & asymmetrical etc. has been my latest obsession. Who needs boring straight hems and pencil skirts when you can have wrap over sides and raw edges and eyelets and high-low hems and heaps of fun bits & bobs!? Here is specimen A in my new fav skirt ft. cheesy ass posing:
Shiny gold buttons. FRILLS. Where more could you want 😜

If you wanna get in on the bare-legged, button-happy, frivololity-ness, here is the link to my new fave skirt and a couple of other picks of mine from The Iconic:
Hope everyone is off to a great start this week!! Get those legs out, and soak up that sunshine!

Braved the Melbourne cold for this outfit shoot, but I really wasn’t feeling stockings or long boots for some reason. Ah the sacrifices I make for fashun 🤔 This is my new favourite bodysuit from Tobi, an online store that has a huge range of cool clothes. I chose this bodysuit because it reminded me of that Kookai square neckline cami top that every cool chick has been wearing but it also has the white underlayer so I can at least be somewhat covered. After all, Melbourne you have not been kind his winter!
I have paired this bodysuit with khaki green coat and skirt, mostly because I was like “hey these two things match” but also because it’s been a favourite of mine lately. It’s such a versatile colour, I would even consider it to be a “neutral” like grey or black. I can’t see it going away anytime soon. Also this coat is so much fun, and it’s actually been neglected in my wardrobe for a while now. I’m thinking it may be on high rotation for the rest of the season.
I hope everyone is staying warm and layering up like me (especially if you’re in Melbourne, brrr!) and oh yeah, Happy Hump Day 🐪
I absolutely adore formal dresses, and frocking up. I honestly wish I had more occasions to act and dress all fancy-like and do my make up. But then again, why do I have to wait until an event comes up?
I received this amazing grey pleated maxi dress from the fashion clothing shop Tobi.com with a beautiful laced up back and decided to wear it immediately just to go out for lunch in Williamstown with the Mr. and take some snaps too. When he saw what I was wearing he raised an eyebrow and was thoroughly amused at my “out for lunch” outfit choice, but he rolled with it, bless his soul 😂😂
Tobi.com Jamee Maxi Dress // Lioness Portofino Faux Fur // Sportsgirl earrings
I absolutely got stared at by some tradies who were working on the tower behind me, but I don’t blame them. It’s pretty weird for someone to be swirling around a random patch of grass near an industrial area wearing a long flowing dress and a faux fur that’s resemblance is that of a giant gorilla 🔥 I was self conscious for all of about 5 seconds and then I felt empowered actually. Dressing up is the bomb.com!!
Tobi.com is offering free shipping atm for all orders to Australia and they have amazing prices. Go go go if you’re looking for a new swanky outfit to wear to lunch and scare tradies with….or even if you just want a new shirt for work 🙌🏼
It’s Friday and I’m off to all-you-can-eat Japanese. I can’t wait to stuff myself with vegetarian gyoza, edamame, spring rolls, soba noodles and matcha ice cream asap. Hope everyone has a good weekend!
This is my take on the classic white t-shirt, and blue denim look. I wore it on the weekend to go for ice cream and a walk along the beach and Williamstown Botanical Gardens.
L’America t-shirt // atmos&here wrap skirt // Nike sneakers // Lovisa earrings
I absolutely adore this blue chambray wrap skirt I bought last year. It’s been a staple that goes with anything from a casual tee, to a dressy black top, to a collared shirt half-tucked in. The wrap trend is one that I’ve embraced thoroughly and I hope it stays for a long time to come coz I’m planning to continue wrapping myself in things. Why wouldn’t you want to? You become like a present to yourself that you get to unwrap at the end of each day 🙊🙊🙊
Anyway, it feels great to be inspired enough to get back on the blogging bandwagon. Leave me a nice comment, I’m looking forward to checking out some new blogs and also posting more from now on!
Anna Quan’s new collection lookbook is a dreamy delight for the eyes. Shot in front of a textured rocky backdrop, this collection features relaxed, flowing silhouettes in subtle grey and white, camel and eggshell blue. The delicate combination of wool, linen silk looks absolutely luxurious.
I’m a big fan of the flared sleeves and relaxed, oversized hemlines. These pieces will be perfect for that Autumn transitional period between Melbourne’s warm sunny afternoons and those bitter chill mornings.
Hooray for Aussie designers kicking goals!
