A well-fitting, good quality biker jacket is a trans-seasonal must have in my fashion books. It’s classy and timeless, yet edgy and fashion-forward. It can be worn in so many different ways, whether you have a more feminine style or you like to look grungy, or you’re into street wear. It suits almost every style I’d say.
For those who are ethically conscious, there are plenty of pleather and leather alternatives out there. I for one don’t buy real leather jackets – a) I prefer to know an animal wasn’t harmed for my outfit and b) there’s no way I would ever be able to afford it anyway 😛
Here is a little style board I put together to show you just how cool biker jackets are.
I bought one from Sportsgirl recently and it has been on high rotation ever since.
What do you guys think of the whole biker jacket trend?
Happy weekend lovelies!
Since H&M opened its doors a little while back now, I’ve only ventured into the iconic GPO store … once. Even though my uni was about 10 minutes from it, and people have raved on about it, I just haven’t had the guts to go back. Especially because when I did try to go, I stood in the rain for 15 minutes and when I finally entered the store, I didn’t see a single thing I liked, and anything that vaguely looked like something I’d like to purchase looked bad quality.
Alas, I’m sitting here typing this post in a warm woolie jumper and home boots, freezing my ass off and inadvertently browsing through the H&M website because something popped up on my Facebook feed about it. Suddenly I have the urge to take the train into the city and throw all my money at this large European fashion retail giant because I see a lot of Winter stuff that I
want & need am totally drooling over but probably don’t need…
Here are some of my top picks from the H&M website, all of them are under $70 which is amazeballs!!!
Biker jacket, $59.95
Knitted polo-neck jumper, $29.95
Chiffon blouse, $29.95
Imitation leather skirt, $29.95
Marled coat, $69.95
Boyfriend Skinny Jeans, $39.95
Sooooo I’m making a trip to H&M guys, anyone who reads this and is from Melbourne feel free to join me 🙂
Happy Monday to any Melbourne people, though Melb-town is being a temperamental bitch, the sunsets are rather purty (check my Insta if you wanna see) (also my bones feel frozen).

YSL jacket, $2350 | Seed Heritage wrap shirt, $63.96 (ON SALE) | AJE catara skirt, $390 | House of Harlow earrings, $49 | Nars Bronzer (Laguna), $55 | Alexander Wang purse, $695 | MAC Viva Glam, $36
So it’s swotvac, which is study-vacation for those who don’t know. A week off from uni supposedly for cramming & studying and planning for uni exams. Sadly, many I know seem to start online shopping, baking & eating, and procrastinating during these times, ha.
So naturally I bought two Aje catara skirts, as you do. I’d been lusting over them for ages, and I don’t know why but I suddenly just decided to go for it! I have to say they are incredible pieces of clothing. I’m planning to wear one tonight, to my boyfriend’s b’day dinner. The little outfit idea above is one I would love to wear out, (and also a bit of a wishlist, hello A. Wang clutch!) – black sequin skirt, drapey white shirt and comfy ass kicks. That’s my kinda style! Now to find a decent affordable knock-off of that YSL jacket…hmm…
Happy long weekend for all us lucky Victorians! It’s the Queen’s birthday weekend, so that means DAY OFF MONDAY 🙂

So I think I’ve fallen in love with an inanimate object. No, it’s okay, I’m not going to leave my boyfriend for it. I’m not going to marry an object, I just can’t stop thinking about it & keep stalking it’s page on Net-A-Porter.
Now I’ve always said that I’m not a bag person…I’d rather spend my money on a few good pieces of clothing than buy an ‘it’ designer bag, but when I saw the 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli with a blue croc-embossed leather something changed inside of me.
I need this bag.
It is perfection in a bag.
So I’m saving up my pennies now coz this Phillip Lim baby is gonna be mine, alllll mine.

PS. If anyone would like to make a donation to my Pashli fund, feel free 😉
So it’s officially April, and the leaves are falling from the trees. We’ve had the weirdest mixture of too-stinking-hot-to-wear-clothes days, and omgomgfreezingmytitsoff days where the wind chills to the bone. So typical of you Melbourne, you’re so predictable. Naht. Anyway, I think the trickiest part about trying to pick outfits is knowing whether you’ve worn enough layers to keep you warm on the walk to the train station in the morning, but also having something underneath your wooly jumper for when it gets sunny and you’re working up a sweat that could rival the Yarra river…
So here are a few essentials I’ve rounded up for the coming couple of months. Boyfriend jeans, check. A white shirt that can be layered up, check. Wedge sneakers (need I remind you guys of my obssession? I don’t care if they’re ‘last season’ I need them in my life.) and a comfy bralette and of course a signature scent so your lover (or lack of one) can recognise you 😉
BRB it’s the weekend and I just got home from work. Time to wriggle into my boyfriend jeans and meet up with my boyfriend for a Mexican dinner!
What are your Autumn essentials? (This post can also apply to Spring for all you Northern Hemisphere homies)

‘Radiant Orchid’ is the Pantone Colour of the Year for 2014. I just remembered I usually do a post for this at the start of every year but I forgot for this year, so here it is, a little belated.
Here is what the Pantone website had to say:
‘Radiant Orchid blooms with confidence and magical warmth that intrigues the eye and sparks the imagination. It is an expressive, creative and embracing purple—one that draws you in with its beguiling charm. A captivating harmony of fuchsia, purple and pink undertones, Radiant Orchid emanates great joy, love and health.’
I know some of the ‘purples’ above aren’t exactly the orchid hue that Pantone specified, but I love that rich purply colour that borders on a fuschia, it’s so pretty. I don’t own much of the orchid colour, my Year 12 formal dress was close to it though. I love all the ‘Radiant Orchid’ decor, perhaps it’ll be incorporated less into my wardrobe and more into my home (and maybe hair!)
What do you guys think? Yay or nay? Oh and happy hump day 🙂
