Prada’s Aussie Invasion

Hmmm, I don’t think many would have realised, but there was an Australian slant on the quintessentially Italian interpretation of fifties women at the Prada autumn/winter 2010/11 show. Catherine McNeil made a return to the runway, and Abbey Lee smouldered in Miuccia Prada’s incredible clothes which celebrate so well the female form.

Catherine McNeil and Abbey Lee give the Prada show an Australian flavour.

But it was the surprising appearance of Miranda Kerr who caused double takes in the front row.

Among the collection I’m loving the clever tailoring in dramatic dresses and double breasted coats.

I also dig the featured PVC skirts, chunky knit &, cats eye sunglasses – retro appeal with contemporary strength.

These women are one part sexy librarian, two parts femme fatale and I seriously can’t wait for people’s interpretations of this look!
